About The Tours

The NZ House & Garden Tours are Aotearoa New Zealand’s largest charity house tours, run in support of Breast Cancer Foundation NZ.

For the past 16 years, the tours have been a summer favourite for home and garden enthusiasts — offering fresh inspiration, memorable experiences, and the chance to support a great cause.

Each year, the tours raise over $100,000 for Breast Cancer Foundation NZ, helping to fund vital research and support services in the regions where the tours take place. The event is made possible thanks to the generosity of hundreds of volunteers who give their time to help bring the tours to life.

Each season, four handpicked locations across the country showcase the best in local design and style, with 7 to 8 exceptional homes in each region opening their doors for a relaxed, self-driven tour. Along the way, guests enjoy not only beautifully curated interiors and gardens, but also the charm of the surrounding area — from scenic views to cafés, eateries, and wineries. For those wanting something extra, the VIP package includes a guided itinerary, lunch, a goodie bag and exclusive access to a VIP home.

New for 2026, the Sundown Session offers General Admission ticketholders an optional evening visit to the VIP house, complete with a glass of wine and light refreshments.

These annual tours bring the pages of NZ House & Garden to life, celebrating the beautifully curated homes and gardens readers love. Step inside and experience an inspiring blend of indoor and outdoor spaces up close. It’s a day full of creativity, connection, and discovery — the perfect opportunity to gather friends and turn it into a memorable day out, or even a weekend away.
